The 2007 tournament was held under fantastic fall skies on Monday October 15th at Olde Atlanta Golf Club. The light-hearted event featured a putting contest, hole-in-one contest, and a raffle for valuable prizes. Prizes were awarded to the top 3 teams as well as individuals for closest to the pin and longest drive.  See award winners here.

We sincerely thank our fantastic array of sponsors for the event (see sidebar at right).  Without their support, the event would not have been possible.  Much of the financial success we enjoy is also due to the generosity of businesses and individuals who donate items for the raffle and auction.  We are grateful to everyone who made this event possible in 2007 -- sponsors, donors, volunteers, golfers -- to help us have a record tournament, raising over $42,000. 

Proceeds from this and all fundraising events are used to assist newly diagnosed cancer patients with comprehensive and objective information on available cancer treatment options…and to provide hope. This outreach is accomplished primarily through the foundations' Hope Kit program, which to date has assisted over 2,200 cancer patients nationwide.

“Little Moments in Time” was a phrase that Jeff Herring, our courageous namesake, created and lived by. It means that everyone should embrace and enjoy the little moments each day that make up our lives. The foundation’s goal is that this annual event is just one of many of those moments for you.

The Herring Foundation of Hope is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization and over 94% of all proceeds go directly towards supporting cancer patients and their families.
